This rather strange-looking object is in fact a decorative wall plaque. Such plaques were popular in royal palaces and similar examples are known later from Assyria. This plaque has a cuneiform inscription which reads: 'palace of Untash-Napirisha'.
Untash-Napirisha was the king of Elam, the name given to the south-western part of Iran in antiquity. Under his reign Elamite control stretched from the Persian Gulf to Anshan in Fars province, and included the region of Susa. The site of Choga Zanbil, forty kilometres south-east of Susa, was called in antiquity 'Al Untash-Napirisha (city of Untash-Napirisha) after the king. He founded the city, which may have been a religious or ceremonial centre, as it includes a magnificent ziggurat, as well as other shrines and temples.

Par La Voix de la Russie | Le sommet à Brisbane en Australie nous a fait assister à des manifestations graves de Poutinophobie, maladie de type névrotique qui semble frapper en priorité les pays anglo-saxons : Etats-Unis, Canada, Australie ou Royaume Uni.
Quelles sont les causes de cette haine du président russe qui fait oublier le règles de la plus élémentaire courtoisie et qui conduit à un désordre international croissant ?
La cause immédiate est que l’oligarchie américaine, intoxiquée par les idées du géopolitologue impérialiste Zbigniew Brzesinski, n’admet pas que la Russie s’oppose aux Etats-Unis et puisse être d’un avis différent : on ne pardonne pas à Washington l’opposition de Vladimir Poutine à une guerre contre le président syrien, qui serait aussi dévastatrice que celle menée en Irak.
Brzezinski qui semble inspirer la politique étrangère américaine affirme que l’Amérique est la nouvelle Rome qui doit dominer l’univers pour le civiliser. S’il s’agit de civiliser les autres peuples comme les USA le firent dans le passé avec les Amérindiens et les esclaves noirs, c’est vrai que cela parait inquiétant. Pour dominer le monde, les Etats-Unis doivent dominer l’Eurasie, écrit cet idéologue car l’Eurasie dans son entier, avec l’Europe, la Russie, l’Inde, la Chine et le Japon est une puissance virtuelle formidable. Il faut donc faire de l’Europe occidentale des Etats satellites, isoler la Russie et si possible la démembrer, créer un conflit entre la Russie et l’Ukraine, maintenir la tutelle sur le Japon, et surveiller l’Inde et la Chine. Mais il faut des priorités dans un tel programme si vaste : la priorité est de désigner la Russie comme un ennemi.
